The Gambia in Transition: Governance, Human Rights, and Development

As part of The Gambia’s transitional journey from dictatorship to democratic rule, two Gambian diasporans  Dr Abou Jeng and Horeja Bala-Gaye are organising a conference from the 8-9 November 2017 on ‘Gambia in Transition’ with His Excellency President Adama Barrow delivering the opening remarks. 

Guest speakers include;

  • Mo Ibrahim, Founder of the Mo Ibrahim Foundation, Geneva, Switzerland
  • Fatou Bensouda, Chief Prosecutor, International Criminal Court, The Hague
  • Baroness Scotland, Secretary General, Commonwealth, Uk
  • Mahmoud Ibn Chambers, Head of United nations office for West Africa

Proposed thematic panel discussion ranged from Governance and Politics to Human Rights and Constitutional Governance, Finance, Infrastructure & Technology and Education and Public Health.
