Strengthening Constitutionality and the Rule of Law in The Gambia

Wednesday, 20 December, 2017 @ 8:00 am - Thursday, 21 December, 2017 @ 5:00 pm

The Ministry of Justice, in collaboration with the Gambia Bar Association, is organizing a two-day National Conference for Gambian Lawyers; “Strengthening Constitutionality and the Rule of Law in The Gambia” from the 20-21 December 2017.

As part of its wider effort to promote and create a climate of respect for the rule of law and constitutionality in the Gambia; a country that has been subjected to a systematic weakening of legal and judicial institutions over the past two decades.

This event will be an opportunity for reflections, learning and aspirational  thinking on how things could be done differently going forward as well as providing a platform for interaction between Gambian lawyers from the diaspora and those who have been working inside the country to discuss and share ideas on pertinent rule of law and constitutional issues affecting the Gambia.
